My First Computer Was a Commodore Vic-20

Commodore Vic-20как сделать хороший проект здания.

My first computer was the Commodore Vic-20. I remember being 9 or 10 and saving every penny I had to put towards this thing (in hindsight I think my parents put more money in than I did).

I remember when my uncle Bob was making out with my moms friend in the back of her car. She made me go break it up. Bob gave me a crisp $50 to put towards my computer if I left them alone and I was set. That weekend my parents took me to the only computer dealer in Burlington Ontario and I got a shiny new Vic 20.

This was all you got, a keyboard which housed the “cpu” and a cassette tape drive. You hooked it up to your “colour” Television set

I remember playing games but I also remember programming 3 pages of basic just to get Mad Magazines Alfred E Newman’s face to show up on my screen. I remember entering commands like POKE to change screen colors.

What was your first computer?
