Do you make effective use of press releases when you do your search engine optimization work?

It’s funny the things I forgot to talk about sometimes. Press releases and search engine optimization go hand-in-hand. How you craft your press release and where you submit it are extremely important. Don’t cheap out on this step, you will regret it if you do.

A recent press release I ran, returned me over 1800 link backs to my website.

I would love for you to share your press release experience with me. Tell me your press release story below.

  • Going to try this now. See how it goes :)
  • I just stumbled on this post, but do you go about making a press release for a blog post? Who do you release it to the "press", who is the press in this case, and how do you get them to cover your release?
  • I can personally attest to the fact that press releases DO work great for SEO, it's the #1 weapon in my arsenal for getting my clients to the top. I'd like to see the press release you mentioned that got you the 1800 backlinks.
  • I have the same shirt ;) Good Taste.
  • Shamon
    No way, thats horse do.
  • I have posted one article and the some one to 15 Free Press Release Service, and after 20 days when I search for my article in google, it show me ~400 result but doesn't mean 400 backlinks, when I check Yahoo Explorer I found only ~20.
these is my experience with PR, and 20 BL is better than nothing.

It is no longer two words. See the newest rule from the Associated Press:

    Q. I heard that AP has changed its recommended spelling of the word "Web site". What is the most current recommendation? Web site or website? – from San Francisco, CA on Wed, Apr 21, 2010
    A. website. see Q-and-A's visible at this site for details.

Good post mate, as you know PR Web has worked really well for me :)
  • 1800 backlinks! Insane!

That is pretty impressive - and I am kind of surprised. I always knew the power of PR from a backlink and offline marketing perspective but 1800 wow that is a surprise.

I have used a free one before but didn't get close to that kind of result.
  • Great advice. The first tip alone was extremely valuable. 1800 back links from one press release is awesome.
